HNA Meetings
HNA meetings are generally held on the third Monday of every month.
Recent events concerning proposed new development in the area have generated
additional meetings. The organization is currently in
the process of determining set meeting places, so join the HNA Yahoo
forum to stay apprised of updates.
The neighborhood issues portion of the meeting generally runs approximately 30-45 minutes.
If there is a
guest speaker, or if the group wishes to discourse further on a special topic
or pressing issue, another 15-30 minutes or more of meeting time may be
allotted.
Neighborhood residents are invited to suggest themes, topics or guest speakers for the second
half of the meetings, or to volunteer themselves to speak about an area in which they
have expertise.
Guest Speakers
At many of the HNA meetings, a guest speaker will give a presentation or
speech on a particular topic. The guest presentation must focus on the
informational rather than on the rhetorical or on advertisement, although the
meeting obviously provides the speaker with an opportunity to touch upon
his/her platform or business. Members may participate in a Q&A session
after the speaker's introduction.
If you would like to be a speaker at (or recommend a speaker for) the next
HNA meeting, send an email to
hilltopneighborhood-owner@yahoogroups.com with your name, contact info and the topic you
would like to discuss or hear discussed.
Note: The HNA does
not endorse candidates for government or other office, nor does it recommend any business,
product or
line of action presented by guest speakers. Guest speakers are merely
given a forum for our members to ask questions and gain information about
the speaker's area of expertise.
